Charles Kirk are a family run, Leicestershire-based school and workwear manufacturer who’ve been going for over 30 years. With an environmentally friendly outlook and genuine care for customers and suppliers, they’re aiming to continue on their growing path.
In order to better reflect themselves as a business and brand, Charles Kirk felt it was time for a website refresh. They wanted their website to be easier to maintain, edit and navigate, with some specific features; like the ability to find a nearby retailer and add custom colour swatches for garments. It was also important that the website fitted into their wider brand aesthetics and that site visits were being tracked.

We collectively looked at Charles Kirk’s old website and decided what needed to change. This covered areas like which pages to add or remove, how the structure of the content would be, and what sort of technical features the website would need to be a success. Alongside this, we gathered information about their target audience, future plans, and goals for the redesign.
After putting together a low-fidelity wireframe, we had some feedback and began to gather the content with Charles Kirk. This included organising dozens of products and creating 100+ colour variants of garments. Once the high-fidelity wireframe and prototype were complete, we went through it together, tweaking things where necessary.
Once design feedback was complete we moved on to actually building the website. From here we uploaded all the products, making sure they were categorised correctly and that all their respective downloads were accurate.
We went through how to update the website with Charles Kirk, such as adding more products in the future, plus their Google Analytics account so they could begin to gather insights.
