Moonpig has unveiled its highly anticipated 2024 Christmas campaign, delighting fans with the return of its beloved mascot in a festive showcase that embodies holiday cheer and creativity. 

Titled Moonpig Strut, the campaign was crafted in collaboration with creative agency Modern Citizens and brought to life by production firm Glassworks.

The Moonpig Strut: A Festive Spectacle

The ad features Moonpig’s lovable mascot confidently strutting down a street decked out in a variety of festive costumes. 

This joyful visual, paired with the mascot’s iconic charm, aims to capture the magic of Christmas while reinforcing Moonpig’s position as a leader in personalised cards and gifts.

Modern Citizens’ chief creative officer shared their enthusiasm for the project, stating that if you told them that they could just make Moonpig ads for the rest of their career, they would bite your trotters off. 

They went on to praise the campaign’s vision, adding that it’s such a joy to send more of these porky blighters strutting and moonwalking out into the world, all the more so with Glassworks doing the shepherding.

The 2024 campaign serves as more than a holiday celebration; it marks the beginning of Moonpig’s broader, year-round multi-channel brand platform. 

By showcasing the vast array of personalisation options available to customers, Moonpig aims to solidify its reputation as the go-to platform for creating unique and thoughtful cards.

Moonpig’s Chief Marketing Officer explained that they know when it comes to personalisation, Moonpig is unbeatable with the breadth of features that can be added to your card. 

That is what they wanted to demonstrate with their new adverts. They also reflected on the mascot’s previous success, saying that when the Moonpigs last debuted, they had such a great reception. 

Therefore, it was a no-brainer to bring them back, but this time with extra confidence to reflect how the strength of their offering has grown too.
